Good morrow, traveler, and welcome to the isle of Laurona. This precious gem, tucked safely away from the eyes of prying humans for nearly an eternity, is a land rich in religion and tradition. The wolves rule freely, guided by their hearts and faith. Yet, all is never as it seems. The call for reformation is strong. I pray you, stay awhile. Hear our tales and make a choice. Fate's fate is up to you.
Keep the Faith is an int/adv wolf roleplay with a relatively realistic theme. Tradition is at war with Progress, the old way of life struggling to compete with new ideas. Our goal is to rewrite history in fun and imaginative ways. These are the themes that decorate history books. Let them become the stories you weave from a journey that tests the strength of your own beliefs. |

Laurona is an enchanting little island nestled safely away in the Indian Ocean. Lying just south of the Tropic of Capricorn, its climate is as diverse as the characters that call it home. At 3,741 sq. mi., Laurona is only slightly larger than the island of Cyprus. Each territory is roughly between 700 and 800 sq. mi.

The isle of Laurona has always been a peaceful land with a culture that has endured millennia. The wolves that roam free have always held faith in their deities, the gods keeping their small island safe in return. The delicate balance of nature, though sometimes disturbed, was never toppled completely. Thus, the wolves felt no fear in leaving their lives in the hands of Lady Fate.
Change is powerful, however, and the birth of new ideas is hard to control. Nothing lasts forever. Encouraged by what seemed to be a ceaseless string of unfortunate events, thoughts of rebellion began to take root. Where were their precious gods when they needed them most? Disheartened, a select few wolves began to strongly push for reformation. The ideals they proposed were vastly different from the old way of life. Many flocked to their ranks, excited by the winds of change. Others, however, feared these new beliefs and clung desperately to what they knew. Now the future of Laurona is on shaky ground. How strong is your faith? |
